Adult Education at West Linn Lutheran Church

West Linn Lutheran Church provides the opportunity for adult Bible study and faith development through the following experiences. If you are interested in any of these classes, contact the leaders or feel free to visit. We always keep a chair open in our classes and you are welcome to drop in!
Discovery Class / Member Preparation The Discovery Class is a seven-week series that explores the fundamentals of the Christian faith. Those who wish to learn more about the Christian faith, the Lutheran Church, the Bible and the mission of the Church will find this introductory class most helpful. Those who are considering membership at West Linn Lutheran Church are especially invited. Classes are scheduled throughout the year. Watch for dates and times.
Bible Study - Sunday mornings at 9:30 The letters of St. Paul, the Mediterranean world and the early Christian Church are the subjects of this Bible study. Contact Carole Ann Rogge at 503 656-7317.
Women's Bible Study/Book Group - Wednesday evenings at 7:30 pm October 3, 2007 - June, 2008 This is a weekly group will start out discussions this fall with the books He Still Moves Stones and But Joy Comes in the Morning (studies on peace) by Max Lucado. If you are interested, or would like to find out about future topics, contact Gail O'Donel at 503-655-1333.
Women's Thursday Morning Bible Study from 10:00 to 11:30 am September 20, 2007 - June, 2008 This group meets weekly and learns a lot from and about each other during their discussions. The group will continue to work on Timothy I & II this year, but will do some reviewing that first meeting. This is a very non-threatening group and new faces are welcome anytime. No homework required... not even for the “leader.” Contact Gretchen Dumestre for more information.
Thursday Evening Book Club at 7:00 pm September 6, 2007 - June, 2008 This is a monthly group that meets on the 1st Thursday of each month. Men and women are invited to join the discussion group. Contact Janet Enger if you are interested or would like to learn what book is currently being discussed.
