West Linn Lutheran Church is currently seeking lead accompanist. This position is responsible for providing piano and keyboard accompaniment at all our services. The accompanist also plays for our adult choir and performs with our contemporary worship team. This is a part-time position at 7-10 hours per week.

Prior accompaniment experience and formal music training preferred. The successful candidate must be proficient at sight reading, be able to play from a lead sheet and be able to improvise. A job description is provided in PDF format.

This position is responsible for directing the music program activities for children of elementary school age and older. It is part-time position at approximately 5 hours per week through the program year (Sept-June) with concentrated responsibilities in the Advent, Christmas, Lent, and Easter seasons of the church year.

Preferred candidates should have formal training in music education and/or choral conducting. Training or experience with music programs such as Kodaly and Kinder Music and/or prior experience directing a church choir or music program is desirable.
