Faith Statement Process
As part of the study process, 9th grade students and sponsors watch this video from the 2012 ELCA National Youth Gathering in New Orleans. Listen for Nadia's story of death and resurrection. How was she dying? How was she grasped by God? What do you think she means that humans have "an enormous capacity for destruction" and "an enormous capacity for good"? Nadia encourages us all to share our faith when she declares, "You have a feast to be shared with hungry people"! STUDENTS & SPONSORS TO MEET AT CHURCH:

by October 19:
- Your choice of a Bible verse for your youth being confirmed (and what version you prefer). Verses chosen by parents in the past are in a document below. The staff will prepare a gift for your youth with this verse!
- The number of people who will be in your luncheon party on October 31. Be sure to include your student's sponsor and sponsor spouse (if coming). There will be a per person cost for the items that need to be purchased for the meal. That can be paid with a check or cash before the luncheon or at the luncheon.
- Your confirmation student at church by 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 1, so they can share in the confirmation ritual at both services. A cake reception will be held for them between services in coffee fellowship.
- Your participation in the laying on of hands during the worship service that you normally attend on Sunday, November 1. Parents, siblings, baptism sponsors, grandparents are all appropriate people to participate in the blessing of the confirmation youth. Pastor Donna needs to know which service your family will be attending.
