Midweek Advent Prayer
You are invited to a midweek time of music, prayer, and conversation on Wednesdays: December 2, 9, 16 and Monday the 21st from 7:00 - 8:00 pm on Zoom. The conversation each week will follow the flow of the Advent devotional material and topics from Learning to Walk in the Dark by Barbara Brown Taylor. No pre-reading is necessary to participate. As darkness deepens toward the Longest Night (Dec. 21) we will open ourselves to what opportunities are there for us with Christ!
"Blue Christmas" in AdventChristmas can be a painful time when you recently lost someone you love, or your job is tough or your family is struggling. This year has surely weighed all of us down. "Blue Christmas" describes not only this feeling and struggle, but a special worship time when people can come and rest.
Normally we would offer a Blue Christmas service for the community, however, with a health crisis in the pastors' lives, we are recommending people join in other Blue Christmas services this year. |
December 21st @ 5:00 pm (7 pm CST): Women of the ELCA, register here for the Zoom link

"Into This Silent Night" by Ann Weems
Into this silent night
As we make our weary way
We know not where;
Just when the night becomes its darkest
and we cannot see our path;
just then is when the angels rush in,
their hands full of stars.
