I see our Planet as interwoven in our lives and in need of our awareness and care. I see the Earth as very much alive, as is the entire Universe,
all imbued with Spirit and Life.

These images invite the viewer into an exploration of creation, connection, pattern, pulse, and flow, and also an exploration of perception of our place in the Universe.

Materials.
A word about the materials. These are printed with archival inks on archival paper, mounted on
acid free or buffered materials. I use Nielsen frames and UV resistant glass.
Properly cared for, these photographs will last for a long time.

I had a large, well equipped studio in southeast Portland and shot for Stash Tea, Baggallini,

 Rosalyn Kliot
Rosalyn Kliot is an award winning and published artist currently residing in the Pacific Northwest.  Born in Eastern Europe, she had resided in Poland, Germany, and finally, the U.S.A by the age of two. She arrived in America on her 2nd birthday.

She studied art, first at the University of Illinois, Navy Pier, in Chicago, and then transferred to Roosevelt University where she completed her BA in Art on a full-ride scholarship. She studied with Don Baum and Alice Shaddel at the Art Institute of Chicago.

Her work has been juried into numerous exhibits and galleries in Chicago, Los Angeles, Washington, Oregon and a travelling show in Tokyo, Japan.  Her fiber art was juried into a statewide exhibit at Springfield Museum.

She is retired from a 30-year professional career as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor and Vocational Forensic Expert Witness at federal hearings.  “This duality of careers has allowed me the freedom to experiment in my art without the pressure of financial concerns.” Her published works include Collage in the Abstract, My Father's Book, A World of Color, as well as an assortment of therapeutic coloring books for adults.

Patty Palmer-Baker
Pattie Palmer-Baker’s art is a partnership of poetry and the book arts of calligraphy and paste paper. Paste paper is an ancient decorated paper technique wherein the artist paints color mixed with artist-made paste on wet paper.  Before the paint/paste dries, the artist uses texture-making tools to form designs on the surface. Pattie creates specific shapes and images to illustrate the poem she has in mind. Once dried, she cuts out the images and assembles them in a collage with her poetry penned around the edges of the final artwork. Her calligraphic style is based on the 8th century Carolingian letterforms.
Since poetry inspires the image and appears somewhere in the finished collage, it could be said that words are her first love.  Whether she is writing a poem or creating an artwork springing from her poetry, she aims to translate the inner world into media that will both move the viewer and/or reader and clarify her meaning.
