Hello Members and Friends,
A brief note today, to let you know that the time of our Sunday services will be changing from 9:00 am to 9:30 am, beginning on the first Sunday in Advent. (November 27th.)
This came to Council as a recommendation from the Worship Committee, following a request from the Youth & Family Ministry Team. Council voted to approve it because:
1) 9:00 am is too early for a lot of folks, especially those with young families. It’s a big change from the more family-friendly 11:00 am start time we offered before the pandemic. A 9:30 start time gives us all a little more grace to get out the door, without too much change for the earlier birds among us.
2) A goal of our congregation is to offer a whole-hearted welcome to our wider community. I know many of us to hope particularly to welcome more young families to WLLC. 9:30 is a bit more accessible for many of the folks we hope to invite.
As always, any questions, concerns, or ideas can be addressed directly to me, to anyone on Council, or to your Council as a whole.
In Peace,
Tara Shepersky (she/her)
WLLC Council President
