DINNER HOSTS
The dinner hosts (2 or more) are responsible for preparing and hosting dinner for the shelter guests. They are asked to plan on being at the church from 5:30-7:30 pm to greet the families, serve and join them for dinner, clean up dinner, and turn responsibilities over to the Overnight Host.

OVERNIGHT HOSTS
Overnight Hosts spend the night at the host church. It is preferable to have two hosts; last year some people brought a friend. A married couple is optimal. The hours of this service are 7:00 pm to 8:00 am the next morning (or earlier if the guests all leave before 8). Let leaders know if you need to leave before 8:00 am and another volunteer will relieve you of duty!

GENERAL VOLUNTEER
There are a variety of tasks needed to make the SON Network work at WLLC that do not involve the meals or sleeping over. Consider being a general volunteer who could help with one or more of these tasks:
+ preparing spaces for families before the shelter opens;
+ transporting cots and bins to the next church;
+ purchasing breakfast and other supplies as needed;
+ relieving an overnight host in the morning if they have to leave before the families leave;
+ helping clean up spaces used by the families at the end of shelter.
